Current developments in science and know-how point to the need to unify, and extend, the definition of memory. On the one hand, molecular neurobiology has shown that Memory Wave memory booster is basically a neuro-chemical course of, which includes conditioning and any type of saved expertise. On the other hand, information technology has led many to assert that cognition is also prolonged, that is, memory could also be stored outdoors of the brain. On this paper, we evaluate these advances and describe an extended definition of memory. This definition is basically accepted in neuroscience but not explicitly said.

Within the extended definition, Memory Wave memory is the capacity to store and retrieve info. Does this new definition of memory mean that everything is now a type of memory? We stress that memory still requires incorporation, that is, in corpore. It's a relationship - the place one biological or chemical process is incorporated into one other, and adjustments both in a everlasting way. Looking at pure and biological processes of incorporation can assist us consider how incorporation of internal and external memory happens in cognition. We additional argue that, if we settle for that there's such a factor as the storage of knowledge exterior the mind - and that this organic, dynamic course of can also be known as "memory" - then we open the door to a really totally different world. The mind will not be static. The mind, and the memory it makes use of, is a work in progress
